Well, well Amazon surely surprised me!

Well, I was taken completely by surprise with the new range of products and specially by their prices yesterday, when Amazon announced their range of Kindles, including Tablet like "Kindle Fire". Amazon came with a range of products which will satisfy everyone other than who has purchased Kindle before this new release.

Traditional Kindle still there. They have gone for touch screen for who like touch, they have bought color with the new kindle fire and they have sticked to their most popular reading screen by E Ink. But what impressed me most was the price. It all starts as low as $79. Even the much waited and much hyped color version of Kindle(With normal LCD display and touch), is priced much lower than what was expected at $199. It was originally thought to be priced at $249. But when it came out, it was much cheaper and looks very promising.

I really liked how Amazon's home page looked on the day of release of these products. A personal and compelling letter from Jeff Bezos, who is the founder and the chairmen took the home page of Amazon. It gave some push to Apple, when it spoke about two types of companies which are in existence today. Yes, the color version of kindle is much cheaper than a iPad and they are directly competing with iPad by the looks of it. Amazon is talking about their far superior web browser called "Silk" which is backed by Amazon's huge cloud computing power.
